Associate Professor Dr Anna Schrade was awarded a competitive grant by the European Commission to foster her teaching and research on the EU. Envisaging future contributions to the development of EU studies in Japan, Dr Schrade received the Jean Monnet Module grant for the duration of 3 years (2019-2022). This recognition by the EU enables KGU to offer new courses on the EU and allows Dr Schrade to intensify her research on regional development and the revitalisation of the European countryside.
Over the next years, Dr Schrade hopes to provide an increased understanding of the EU among KGU students and to enable them to critically compare and contrast developments in Japan with those in Europe.
