日本貿易学会第63回全国大会を関西学院大学西宮上ケ原キャンパスG号館内で開催

藤沢武史・商学部教授（日本貿易学会理事（2019年5月～2024年5月26日任期満了）が大会実行委員長となり、日本貿易学会第63回全国大会『（後援：関西学院大学）』が2024年5月25日～26日まで関西学院大学の西宮上ケ原キャンパスのG号館内教室で開催されました。参加会員数は93名に達し、ここ10年間では最大数となりました。関西学院大学で同学会の全国大会開催は第8回（1968年）、第20回（1980年）に続き、44年を経て3度目となりました。
今大会では、統一論題テーマに「日韓貿易のトレンドと今後の展望」と銘打って、JETRO調査部の中国北アジア課アドバイザーの百本和弘氏に統一論題講演の第1報告を依頼しました。なお日本貿易学会はJETROとの間で学会の大会や部会の開催時や研究交流の面で相互協力関係を結び、昨年度の第62回全国大会はJETRO本部会議室で開催されました。百本氏からは日韓中貿易の近年における傾向と今後の課題が明示されました。
統一論題の第2報告者に韓国貿易学会副会長の趙顕秀氏・平澤大学教授を招聘しました。「韓日貿易の展望と将来像」と題して、日韓貿易の過去から現在に至る貿易を振り返り、その特徴を示し、今後の両国の貿易の在り方が示唆されました。なお日本貿易学会では1991年以降、韓国貿易学会との間で双方の大会にて研究交流を進めるべく、大会報告者を招聘し合う関係にあり、本学で開催された全国大会を通じて学術研究交流が一層促進されるものと期待されます。
統一論題第3報告には、日本大学経済学部教授の井尻直彦氏が登壇され、「日本と韓国の近年の貿易構造の変化：RCA指数、貿易変動の計測」という論題の下、理論的仮説を立て、膨大な貿易データの統計分析を踏まえて実証されました。
その後、藤沢教授がモデレータとして3名の研究報告内容の特徴をまとめたパワーポイント資料を提示し、解説を加え、重要な論点を示しました。それを契機として報告者と会場参加者との間でパネルディスカションに移りました。
大会第１日目の最後を飾ったのは、「ふじや西宮北口本店」で開催された懇親会です。5６名が参加され、４階にある会場を埋め尽くしました。
本大会でも従来通り、「自由論題セッション」が大会２日間にわたり午前中に設けられました。「国際経営・国際ビジネスセッション」「貿易政策セッション」「神戸セッション」「院生セッション」「WTOセッション」「貿易アドバイザー協会セッション」として、７つの分科会に分かれ、両日共に４トラックずつ、延べ17件の自由論題報告会が繰り広げられました。中でも、「神戸セッション」は関西学院大学での大会開催に相応しいとして、昨年11月の理事会で選択されました。
大会第２日目においても、前日と比べて参加者が減ることなく、日本貿易学会の良き意味での長年にわたる伝統の重さと継承を感じ取った次第です。今後の大会では韓国や中国に限らず、欧米系の貿易研究者との交流が待ち望まれます。

The 63rd Annual Conference of Japan Academy of Foreign Trade and Business (JAFTAB) was held at Kwansei Gakuin University Nishinomiya Uegahara Campus on 25 and 26 May in 2024 since the 20th Annual Congress in 1980.
The common theme at this conference is "The trend of the Trade between Japan and Korea". Under this common theme three presenters were selected.

In the first, Mr. Hyakumoto, a JETRO research advisor at the section of China and North Asia provided us with much information on the recent trade conditions of China comparing the trade situations of Japan and Korea.
In the second, Professor Cho, Vice President of Korea Trade Academy (KTRA) showed the outlook and future style of trade between Korea and Japan.
Finally Professor Naohiko Ijiri explained how to understand the relationship between offshoring and trade variation in terms of processing much trade data whose analysis digit is 8th while statistical methodology is employed.
After three presentations Professor Fujisawa gave some comments and questions on the three meaningful presentations, all presenters answered them.
Finally Question and Answer were repeated in the room.
As to the free topic section held in the morning of both days, some classrooms were rather occupied with audience, although there were divided into four sessions.
There were 8 tracks in all comprised of "International Business and Management", "WTO", "Trade Policy", "Kobe", "AIBA". Among them Kobe session is very unique as this session might be tailored to the location and atmosphere of KGU.
Finally the election of a chairman in JAFTAB was executed after closing this annual congress.
Throughout all opening days 93 attendants visited Kwansei Gakuin University and 56 members joined welcoming party held at Fujiya, Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi restaurant.
