The research results of the groups of Prof. Keiko Tawa School of Biological and Environmental Science and of Prof. Kohei Imura Waseda University, who have been working to clarify the nanoantenna effect observed at the center of concentric circle in the Bull’s eye-type plasmonic chip, were published in Optics Express on February 18. The fluorescence from fluorescent nanoperticles adsorbed on the Bull's eye-type plasmonic chip was observed as bright spot in the center of a pattern. The structure dependence of the enhancement as nanoantenna effect was investigated by optical experiment and theoretical simulations.
