ベネディクト・ティモシー・社会学部助教が2023年3月16日から19日、アメリカ・ボストンで開催された Association for Asian Studies 2023 Annual Conferenceにおいて、"Resurrected: Politics, Corpses, Spirits, and the Revitalization of the Study of Death" をテーマに発表を行いました。
Association for Asian Studies Annual Conferenceは、アジアを専門分野とする研究者の連絡情報交換を目的とした世界最大級の学術団体であり、世界中から3000名以上もの研究者が集まり発表・討議が行われました。
発表ではベネディクト助教が2023年１月に出版されたSpiritual Ends: Religion and the Heart of Dying in Japan (University of California Press)の紹介と共に、「東アジアにおける死」をテーマとした最近出版された学術書との関連性について発表とディスカッションが行われました。

In his presentation, titled "Resurrected: Politics, Corpses, Spirits, and the Revitalization of the Study of Death," Timothy Benedict discussed his recently published book, Spiritual Ends: Religion and the Heart of Dying in Japan (University of California Press, 2023), and its relationship to recently published monographs on the study of death in East Asia.
