ALE, Oliver Cakebread-Andrews, School of Policy Studies Gives Presentation on Education Applications of Sarcasm Detection NLP Models in EFL Context at the EuroCALL 2023 Conerence, which was held from August 15th, 2023 to August 18th, 2023 in Reykjavik, Iceland at the University of Iceland. EuroCALL promotes the creation and sharing of knowledge in areas such as Applied Linguistics, Corpus Linguistics, Digital Pedagogy, Digital Literacies, and Computer-Mediated Communication. The focus of this year’s EUROCALL conference is on inclusiveness of all languages, which is also reflected in the main conference theme “CALL for all languages”. Over 200 presenters from a variety of ocountries gathered to give presentations and hold discussions. There were many useful discussions and ideas shared about the impact and benefits of Chat GPT on the education field.
