田中裕幸・商学部教授が開催校委員代表を務める日本英語学会第37回大会（関西学院大学後援）が2019年11月9日から10日まで、西宮上ケ原キャンパスで開催されました。約390名が参加し、盛会となりました。
日本英語学会は、英語の共時的・通時的研究及び言語理論の進歩・発展に寄与することを目的としています。
2日間で28件の研究発表の他、言語系学会連合との共催の公開特別シンポジウムを含めた7件のシンポジウム、今大会からの企画として3件の特別講演が行われ、活発な議論が繰り広げられました。

The 37th Conference of the English Linguistic Society of Japan, sponsored by Kwansei Gakuin University and hosted by Professor Hiroyuki Tanaka of the School of Business Administration (among others), was held at the Nishinomiya Uegahara Campus on November 9th and 10th, welcoming about 390 attendees.
The English Linguistic Society of Japan was founded to contribute to the progress and development of synchronic and diachronic studies on English and linguistic theory.
These two days saw lively discussions among the participants in 28 oral presentations, 7 symposia and 3 invited talks.
