高橋和子工学部教授が 2023年2月22日から24日、 ポルトガルのリスボン で行われた15th International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART2023) においてQualitative Spatial Representation and Reasoning about Fold Strata をテーマに発表を行いました。ICAART は INSTICC および AIJ が主催する会議として毎年ヨーロッパで行われており、エージェントと人工知能という2つの分野における理論および応用研究に興味をもつ研究者、技術者、実務家が集まり意見を交換する場を目的としたものです。今回は52ヵ国から306件の論文投稿があり、その25%がフルペーパーとして採択されました。本会議では約200名の参加者があり、4件の基調講演、口頭発表による一般講演とともにポスター発表も行われ、活発な意見交換が行われました。ここ数年の傾向として機械学習の技術や応用についての話、特に深層学習と強化学習に関するものが目立ちました。

Kazuko Takahashi, Professor of School of Engineering gave a presentation on Qualitative Spatial Representation and Reasoning about Fold Strata at the 15th International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART2023), which was held from February 22 to 26, 2023 in Lisbon. ICAART is the conference sponsored by INSTICC and AIJ which is held in Europe every year. Its purpose is to bring together researchers, engineers and practioners interested in therory and applications in the areas of Agents and Artificial Intelligence. This year, there were 306 paper submissions from 52 countries only 20% of which have been accepted as full papers. Besides four keynote lectures, there were oral presentations, poster presentations at the conference. There were about 200 participants and active discussions took place. As a trend of these couple of years,many presentations on machine learning, especially deep leaning and reineforcement learning were found. Wide variety of research topics can suggest possible application areas of my research.
