重藤真介・理学部教授が共同組織委員長を務める10th Japan-Taiwan International Symposium and Summer Camp on Raman Spectroscopyが本学の後援を受けて2025年6月19日から6月21日日にかけ、東京大学駒場IIキャンパスにてシンポジウムを、八王子市の大学セミナーハウスにてサマーキャンプを開催しました。本シンポジウムとサマーキャンプは、日本と台湾におけるラマン分光学を用いた研究開発を促進させ、若い世代の分光学者を育成することを目的として2013年から毎年（コロナ禍での中断を除く）、台湾もしくは日本で開催されており、今回が通算10回目、日本での2度目の開催となります。日本、台湾、アメリカから60名以上の研究者・学生が集まり、ラマン分光学を中心とした分光学に関する基礎から応用まで幅広い発表・討議が行われました。特に後半のサマーキャンプでは、著名研究者によるチュートリアル講演に加え、学生によるポスター発表が行われ、活発な意見交換がなされました。
The 10th Japan-Taiwan International Symposium and Summer Camp on Raman Spectroscopy, co-organized by Professor Shinsuke Shigeto, School of Science, were held at the Komaba II Campus of the University of Tokyo and the Inter-University Seminar House in Hachioji, respectively, from June 19 to 21, 2025. The symposium and summer camp have been held annually in Taiwan or Japan since 2013 (except for the interruption due to the COVID pandemic) to promote research and development using Raman spectroscopy in Japan and Taiwan and to foster the young generation of spectroscopists. This year marked the 10th edition of the event and the second time it has been hosted in Japan. More than 60 researchers and students from Japan, Taiwan, and the United States gathered to present and discuss a wide range of topics in spectroscopy, from fundamental to applied research, with a focus on Raman spectroscopy. Active discussions among the participants continued until late at night.
