森本郁代・法学部教授が、2025年6月22日~6月27日に、オーストラリア・ブリスベンで開催されたThe 19th International Pragmatics Conferenceにおいて、Synchronizing kata in a Budo practice: Methods for students’ access to an expert’s inner sense in a Budo lessonをテーマに発表を行いました。International Pragmatics Conferenceは、2年に1度開催される、語用論の分野で世界最大の国際学会で、100カ国以上の国から1000人を超える研究者が集まり発表・討議が行われました。森本教授は、Making  “experts’ inner sense” accessible to learners: multimodal analysis of the interactions in instruction ing practical skillsというパネルの主催者の一人として、数多くの国から参加した研究者との間の意見交換を先導し、有意義な知見を得ました。
 

Professor Ikuyo Morimoto of the School of Law and Politics gave a presentation titled “Synchronizing Kata in a Budo Practice: Methods for Students’ Access to an Expert’s Inner Sense in a Budo Lesson” at the 19th International Pragmatics Conference, held from June 22 to 27, 2025, in Brisbane, Australia. The International Pragmatics Conference is the most prestigious international gathering in the field of pragmatics and takes place every two years. This year’s conference brought together over 1,000 researchers from more than 100 countries, who presented their work and engaged in scholarly discussions. Professor Morimoto served as one of the panel organizers of panel "Making  'experts’ inner sense' accessible to learners: multimodal analysis of the interactions in instructioning practical skills", and played a central role in facilitating dialogue between the panel presenters and the audience. The session featured lively and fruitful discussions, from which she received valuable feedback that will inform the further development of her research.
