中後大輔・工学部教授（サービスロボティクス研究室）が、2023年11月8日・9日にパシフィコ横浜で開催されている横浜ロボットワールド2023（サービスロボット展）に、エコブレーキ車椅子を出展しました。「エコブレーキ車椅子」は手動車椅子を対象とした走行支援装置で、JIS規格の手動車椅子の左右両輪に本技術を搭載したブレーキユニットを取り付けることで、坂道でもあたかも平地のように車椅子の操走行（操作）を支援するシステムです。
パシフィコ横浜ホールA4-17ブースにて、エコブレーキ車椅子試作機をお試し頂けます。ぜひお越し下さい。
Professor Daisuke Chugo, School of Engineering (Service Robotics Laboratory), exhibited the EcoBrake Wheelchair at the Yokohama Robot World 2023 (Service Robot Exhibition) held at Pacifico Yokohama on 8 and 9 November 2023. The EcoBrake Wheelchair is a driving support system for manual wheelchairs. By attaching a brake unit equipped with this technology to both the left and right wheels of a JIS-standard manual wheelchair, the system assists the wheelchair's manoeuvring (operation) on slopes as if it were on a level road.
